November News

Hi everyone,

The first month in Westward Cottage has already flown by!

Since my last post, I’ve spent a bit of time moving my things over (with help from Jenna, Chloe and Eddy) and then settling into the studio:

Now that I’m more-or-less settled in, I’ve resumed work on my latest project. For the first stage of this project, I’m developing a new textile artwork, drawing partial inspiration from some home-made dress-up capes made by mother during my childhood.

I’m planning to make my cape from felt crosses of various shades of red, purple and pink. I’m currently experimenting with different arrangements of colour:

Given the materials that I’m working with, I decided that I need to design a new pattern:

If you’d like to come by for a chat and see what I’m working on there’s good news!

Starting in January next year, the studio will be open from 2-4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays for drop-in visits from members of the general public. If you would like to organise another time to come to the studio please feel free to send me an email or get in contact using the form below.

And remember, for all the latest updates, make sure you’ve subscribed to my blog, or follow me on any of the various social media platforms (LinkedInInstagramFacebookTumblr).
