Hi all,
I have some exciting news to share: I have been appointed the resident artist for the City of Ryde for the next twelve months!
For the duration of this residency period, I will be working in a new studio: Westward Cottage, a nineteenth century workman’s cottage with an interesting history.
On Tuesday, I met with Youssef, the Arts & Cultural Development Coordinator for Ryde, who handed over the keys and gave me a tour of the cottage. I was blown away by the space. I can already see so much potential for the next twelve months.
I’ve taken some photos of the space so that you can all go on a virtual tour with me:
Over the next year, I’ll be engaging with the local community through open studio days, workshops and other exciting projects. Many thanks to the City of Ryde for this opportunity. I can’t wait to engage with council and the local community to explore creativity, community, and connection!
I’ll be documenting this experience here on my website and also through social media, so watch this space. And remember, for all the latest updates, make sure you’ve subscribed to my blog, or follow me on any of the various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr).
