I was invited back to Scratch Art Space to perform live as part of the public program for Creative Trails Midjuburi 2023.
Through this performance piece I explored the trope of the physical wound as a metaphor for psychological or spiritual wounds. I drew inspiration from a number of different religious, literary, and artistic sources, including Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex, Wagner’s Parsifal, the stigmata of Jesus Christ, and the work of German artist Joseph Beuys.
